Cooperative Education Experience
Daily tasks at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace involved setting up and breaking down spaces for events, providing performers with materials, a small portion of event planning and a lot of analysis. What I took away from this internship was how to be a "host" and how to successfully plan and execute events.
At clean water action I performed various tasks. A few of those tasks were preparing the conference room for meetings, researching toxic chemicals in consumer products and producing various documents. Interning at Clean Water Action taught me how to really stand up for what I believe in.
While holding a position at Swank Properties I was a guest and relations intern. I handled market research, information updates and guest inquiry responses. What I took from this internship was how to run a real estate firm, how to use certain software, and how to perform valuable research.
Work History
During my employment in the office of commuter student affairs at Wentworth I performed many tasks. A few of my essential tasks were organizing and updating files as well as providing information, help and support to commuter students. Working in this office taught me how to be a reliable resource and how important it is to know the correct information.
Bikes not bombs is the route of all of my skills. I held many positions during my employment at Bikes Not Bombs two of those being a Youth Instructor for the Earn-A-Bike program and a Bike-A-Thon outreach intern. Being a Youth Instructor taught me how to effectively communicate, how to teach and the value of using different teaching styles. As a Bike-A-Thon outreach intern I learned how to effectively advertise and how to be a great team player.
